Volunteer Project List

 Join our team as a support volunteer for our adaptive programs! These programs focus on providing skill-building, social, and recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages with cognitive and developmental disabilities. This is an ongoing opportunity--volunteers will work with the Inclusion Supervisor to create a regular schedule. Volunteers in this program must be at least 18 years old.

Note: In order to best facilitate connections between our program participants and program volunteers, applicants to this project will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire to determine compatibility with the program. If a volunteer is chosen, they will be required to complete a background check (paid for by CCPR) before beginning their volunteer work. Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Supporting participants on stage during the performance by acting alongside them, in a speaking or non-speaking role of the volunteer’s choosing
• Assist program staff with facilitating team-building and social activities for program participants
• Assist in the creation and execution of sets, costumes, and makeup
• Serve as a stage crew member during tech week and show performances

Requirements

• Volunteer must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities desired, but not required.

Time Commitment & Scheduling

• Volunteers are asked to attend weekly rehearsals on Thursdays from 7:00-8:30pm starting January 4 through March 17
• Attendance is required at all tech week rehearsals and final performances:
  • March 11-14: 7-9pm
  • March 16: Performance at 6pm with 4pm call-time
  • March 17: Performance at 2pm with 12pm call-time
